& thats me on the plane you know i think i like flying even if it equals to an annoying number of turbulences or female pilots who think themselves superwomen and dip all the time haha. and i kinda just got back from my short 4-days break to the philippines. though it has been really tiring having to be in combat mode all the time there plus i didn't get to do any cheap shopping plus we couldn't do any of the stuff we intended to do like swimming and shopping at cheap weekend markets because the typhoon just didn't go away and it just kept raining and flooding and raining and flooding plus i didn't get the chance to try traveling on their public transport and it was just taxi everyday haha but still i did enjoy myself even though i was stuck with the most unglam person that ever existed! it was nice being like how we used to be back in those old times and having those heart-to-heart talks in bed and just being two silly little girls self-entertaining like we're the only ones left in this world haha.

the first day was basically just traveling and staying awake so as not to lose sight of our belongings and for me it was having to see men peeing on the streets which is just disgusting and throughout my trip i kept seeing that! the second day we had a free dimsum buffet lunch at this hotel and the food was total yum yum. the jellyfish and the sharksfin was super delicious and i can't quite remember what else we had haha because we just kept ordering and eating haha. after such a filling meal we obviously had to do some exercise and what better exercise than shopping! haha so we went to this SM Mega Mall and it was there did i find my latest love and obsession Krispy Kreme! the moment we spotted those two words on the mall directory i totally became obsessed haha and the moment we took our first bite into a free doughnut haha to cut the long story short i brought back thirty yum yum! though after the many hours they don't quite taste the same anymore haha i hope they open a local branch they really should.

it was at that mall did i do most of my shopping though it was altogether a pathetic amount haha and then we had to rush back as there was a traffic jam. actually over there the traffic jams like practically twenty four seven and each time we end up spending around an hour in the cab for what was actually quite a short journey. so anyways there was this so-called taxi queue except the people there have entire no concept of queuing. so after quite a few times of losing out to others in our fight for a cab we had no choice but to fight! this taxi came and before the people inside even alighted andrea had to stick her head in and shout to the driver 'magallanes' and push our way in after that haha. and the taxi was a super lao kok kok one. the driver had to keep starting the engine again and again and he kept braking and starting non-stop plus the journey was never-endingly long that i totally felt like puking. it was a total classic when he couldn't start the engine and cars behind were horning like mad and the policeman who was directly the traffic came and pushed the taxi from behind haha! super funny!

and so we ended up at Mall of Asia which is the largest mall in Asia and it really was huge! we spent practically an entire day there and everything was really expensive! i totally love their Zara though. Starbucks was good. every country should have starbucks because everyone needs a caffeine high every once in awhile. and it was that day that for the first time in my life i really almost hated shopping because there wasn't anything i really really liked that i had to have nor was there happy cheap shopping and it was just endless walking and walking around the huge mall. then it was time for dinner and while we waited outside the mall it was so cold we were freezing and watching policemen in long yellow raincoats. oh you know the policemen there wear boots i wonder how they run and catch thiefs haha.

dinner was at this seafood place where you had to walk through a stretch of like wet market and choose the seafood that you want and bring it back to the restaurant where the chef would cook it for you so the seafood was really uber fresh and yummy. we had clams oysters abalone prawns and the most delicious food ever crabs with salted egg super delicious! it was there did we take a massive amount of pictures because we couldn't really take much pictures elsewhere other than in shopping malls as it isn't safe to just whip out a camera out of nowhere. our self-entertainment was so successful that not only were we extremely entertained but so were the staff in the restaurant as well haha. ohman i'm now craving for some of that crab with salted egg it was just so good!
